the return of nocturnal culinary experiments

Its called the Freedom Waffle. Basically a french toast waffle. Its fuckin awesome.

The first set toasting. We put rum in the batter. Later ones had blueberries/chocolate chips.


Plated up with bacon and vanilla ice cream.

We had some extra so we brought them over to RUPD for the dispatchers.

Work Potluck 1

At work there are 3 of us every Thursday. We decided it would be nice for us to all bring in a dish from now on if we're all here. We invited the CSO's to join us as well, but theyre all lazy assholes.

Originally I was going to do fried stuffed risotto balls but there was no way I was waking up early enough to do that in one day so I made chipotle, cheddar and chive mashed sweet potatoes. I tried to make them a little less spicy than normal but who am I kidding. Those bitches gotta be hot. This pushed Jess out of potato territory and into salad and cookie land. Loretta made a Hungarian chicken dish I cannot for the life of me spell or pronounce.

Workshopping a Heinous Study Sandwich: A Sibling Approach

Quiche is maybe not for everyone

I made a quiche. Not a hard thing to do. Smoked salmon, green onion, orange bell peppers, and cheese. As usual it was quite excellent. Kyler and I enjoyed it. Brought it to work. Nobody really wanted any of it. I guess you don’t give cops quiche. Its probably not the sort of thing you serve to anyone whose culinary experience hasn’t moved beyond the omelette. It was, however, Steph’s first taste of quiche and she enjoyed it so i guess that’s a bump.
